Colin Cowherd once had an awkward interaction with Jim Harbaugh during an interview in July 2015, just a few months after the latter had taken up the coaching job at Michigan. The then-ESPN Radio host peppered Harbaugh with questions before cutting off the coach for his rather bland responses less than six minutes into the interview.
However, when Cowherd and Harbaugh met again before 2016 Super Bowl on the former's "The Herd" show, the radio host accepted his faults for botching the coach's interview.
"Hey, by the way, have you ever had a player who had a bad game?" Cowherd asked Harbaugh before saying, "Because I had a really bad interview with you. I stunk. That was terrible. I just, was, lousy."
Harbaugh said he was also to blame for the interview, before suggesting that he and Cowherd were on better terms after meeting in person.
"We both had fingerprints on that," Harbaugh said. "You're too hard on yourself. I had 50% of those fingerprints as well. But now we're connecting. That was over the phone. Now, we're in person. We're connecting."
Harbaugh also said that he loved Cowherd's impression of him, including the Halloween costume the broadcaster wore while on air in October. It was clear that Harbaugh and Cowherd made amends before watching the Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl.
Jim Harbaugh has enjoyed a fabulous start as LA Chargers coach
Jim Harbaugh won the national title with Michigan in January. He then took up the coaching role with the LA Chargers in the NFL.
In his first season with the Chargers, Harbaugh has acclimatized well, leading LA to a 7-3 record ahead of Week 12. The Chargers are on course to reach the playoffs this season and their coach deserves praise.
Harbaugh recently said that his Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is one of the best to play in the NFL and has all the traits to become a Hall of Famer.
