"I don't think Deion Sanders will be there next year": Paul Finebaum predicts Coach Prime's future at Boulder post Nebraska humiliation

ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum had a bold take about Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes after their blowout loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday night.

The Buffaloes (1-1) were dominated on both sides of the ball, notching just 10 points and allowing six sacks on offense, while giving up 28 points and 344 yards on defense.

Finebaum gave his take on Deion Sanders and Colorado's early woes in 2024 on Sunday's episode of "The Matt Barrie Show."

"I don't think Deion Sanders will be there next year," Finebau said. "When they fail to go to a bowl game, he's going to look around and try to find an exit strategy. No more (Travis Hunter), no more (Shedeur Sanders). What's the motivation for him to beat himself up?"

While it wasn't the start Deion Sanders and his Colorado squad were hoping for, they'll have a chance to bounce back next week against the Colorado State Rams.

After Week 3, Sanders and the Buffaloes will enter Big 12 play with a Week 4 matchup against Baylor. Colorado will be further tested down the stretch of the season in conference play as CU looks to prove it deserves its immense hype.

Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders facing criticism after QB's early exit

While losing 28-10 with around two minutes left in the game, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders headed to the locker room.

After the game, Sanders called out his offensive line, who allowed six sacks, asking reporters, "How many times did (Cornhuskers QB Dylan) Raiola get touched?"

Against the Cornhuskers, Sanders completed 23 of his 38 pass attempts for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Sanders' actions have drawn mass criticism across social media.

Deion Sanders also placed some blame on the offensive line after the game:

"Protections were a problem. ... We gotta figure out a way to prevent that and do a better job with that."
