Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers had high praise for Colorado Buffaloes two-way player Travis Hunter.

Quinn Ewers and Travis Hunter are among the cover athletes for EA Sports College Football 25, as they are two of the biggest names in the sport.

However, Quinn Ewers believes if anyone is going to be a 99 overall in the video game, it should be Travis Hunter.

“I’m not sure if they’re going to put anyone at 99, but if they do I think he’ll be the closest to it. His overall ability on offense, defense, and special teams… he can do it all," Ewers said (via MMG/YT).

Travis Hunter is a unique player in college football, as he is a lockdown corner and a solid wide receiver. As he can play two important positions well, Quinn Ewers believes he should be a 99 overall in the video game.

Last season at Colorado, Travis Hunter recorded 31 tackles, five pass defense and three interceptions. On offense, he recorded 721 yards on 57 receptions and five touchdowns.

However, Travis Hunter got hurt last season, which caused him to miss some action. As a result, he only played in nine games for the Buffaloes.

Quinn Ewers is honored to be on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25

Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter and Michigan Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards are on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.

Quinn Ewers will be the Longhorns starting QB in 2024. He led his team to a playoff berth last season. He told ESPN in an interview that it was his honor to be on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.

"Obviously, I grew up in an era of playing this game, as it was big for my age group," Ewers told ESPN. "It's been, what, 10 years now since this NCAA game has come out, and to be on the cover with these two guys, I can't really put it into words. It's just an honor."

Quinn Ewers went 272-for-394 for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions last season at Texas.

The Longhorns will start their 2024 college football season on Aug. 31 with a game against Colorado State. Texas will also play Michigan, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, and Texas A&M, among others.
