In Episode 2 of the “2Legendary” podcast hosted by Shedeur Sanders, his brother Deion Sanders Jr. talked about the NFL draft prospects for Shilo and Shedeur in 2025. Shilo wondered which city or team they might end up with and asked Sanders Jr. for his anticipations.
Sanders Jr. predicted they could end up on different teams, mentioning the Las Vegas Raiders and Dallas Cowboys. When Shilo asked Sanders Jr. which city he'd like them to play in if they didn't end up on the same team, Sanders Jr. replied:
“Honestly, I really don't care. It's just a blessing y'all are in the league.” [Timestamp - 00:57]
Shilo pressed further, asking:
“If I went to Vegas and Shedeur went to Dallas, who would you come film the most?”
Sanders Jr. aka “Bucky” responded:
“I think it'll probably be the opposite way. He'll go to Vegas, and you'll go to Dallas.”
When Shilo asked if this prediction was based on their personalities, Sanders Jr. clarified:
“I think Vegas will have an earlier pick and Dallas will have a later pick. So, I would think he would go to Vegas and there's a lack of a quarterback.”
Sanders Jr. then asked Shilo which team he thought Shedeur should avoid.
“I’d say Miami,” Shilo said. “You need to stay out of Miami.”
According to ESPN, scouts have placed Shedeur Sanders among the top quarterbacks for the 2025 draft. The NFL Mock Draft Database projects Shilo to be selected in the fourth round with an overall rank of 127 and Shedeur to go in the first round, ranked fourth overall.
According to ESPN, Shedeur Sanders’ draft stock is quite promising
If everything goes perfectly, quarterback Shedeur Sanders' stock could skyrocket. Unlike last year, there isn’t a clear-cut top quarterback heading into this college season. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye were the big names last year before Jayden Daniels' impressive senior season, which earned him the Heisman Trophy and the No. 2 draft pick.
Scouts have placed Sanders in the top tier of quarterbacks for the 2025 class, but opinions on him vary.
"He's a [Day 2] guy for me heading into the year," a scout for an AFC team said [H/t ESPN].
"I don't know if you've seen the upcoming QB class, but he has a chance to rise to the top quickly because this group was underwhelming on tape," another NFC executive said.
Some NFL experts already see Sanders as a first-round pick based on his college performance and potential. A high-ranking NFC executive said that, with Shedeur’s NFL DNA and readiness to step into the league, there will be a team that loves that about him:
"I think he's a Round 1 pick because of the upside and confidence he plays with."
ESPN's Jordan Reid, an NFL draft analyst, has graded Sanders as a late first-round to early second-round pick. However, Sanders still has many questions to answer as the season progresses.
