Coach Prime has turned the fortunes of the Colorado Buffaloes in his second year with the team. After last season's 4-8 campaign, Sanders has helped the team qualify for the Bowl games this year. The Buffs are also on track to compete for the Big 12 championship and a spot in the new 12-team playoffs.

In Week 12, Coach Prime and the Buffs secured a four-game winning streak following a 49-24 victory over Utah. This places them second in the Big 12 standings behind the BYU Cougars. In the post-game press conference, Deion Sanders opened up about a heart-warming conversation with his DE Quency Wiggins.

Coach Prime revealed what Wiggins told him and how he has the utmost confidence in his coaching abilities. He said:

"I had a conversation, when you know we run out and the guys get on their knees and pray. Quency Wiggins just was on my heart. And I went and hugged him and embraced him and told him how much I love him, how much I'm proud of him, that he haven't given up, that he still practices hard even though he is on the scout team.
"He goes hard everyday to give us the proper look," Sanders said. "I was drowning in tears because I was just giving him love and he looked at me and said, 'Coach I would never quit on you....' that stuff means something to me man cause I love these young man like they're mine."

Quency Wiggins began his collegiate career with the LSU Tigers in 2022. After two seasons, he joined the Colorado Buffaloes this offseason. Despite being on the scout team, Wiggins got limited playing time during their victory against Utah, tallying one tackle.

Jason Whitlock continues to remain a stern critic of Coach Prime

Deion Sanders has silenced many critics with his recent success. However, Jason Whitlock remains unconvinced despite Coach Prime's efforts.

After their Week 12 victory over Utah, Whitlock ranted about his unapologetic stance on Coach Prime on social media.

"Deion hasn't faced an ounce of oppression since first or second grade. He's lived a life of athletic privilege. Rather than constantly thank God for his blessing, he has sought to paint himself as a victim. That's what I can't stand about Deion. And I ain't apologizing for it."

Jason Whitlock has made an interesting promise, stating that if the Buffs win two of their last three games, he will travel to watch their Bowl game live and wear Colorado merchandise while cheering them. With one win already in the books, things are starting to work in favor of Sanders and his team.
