Terrion Arnold, former Alabama cornerback who is now headed to the NFL, recently shared some tough advice for his alma mater during A-Day edition mic'd up.
Arnold, who played two seasons at Alabama Crimson Tide, told his alma mater, the University of Alabama, the secrets to making the most of their opportunity to shine during Kalen DeBoer's first A-day.
Prior to A-Day on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, the cornerback imparted some valuable words of wisdom to the new recruits in the locker room.
“Opportunity to present yourself. This is what we came out here and worked for. Y'all boys go out here and execute man, and play for each other. Love your brother, man. Like, real talk, man,” Arnold said.
“Don't ever take this for granted. Like, I wish I could be here right now,” he added. “Y'all got to go out there and put on the show, man. Real talk, man. Love y'all boys, man.”
Arnold, one of the highly touted NFL prospects, is expected to be a high pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, with many mock drafts predicting he will be selected by teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With a prospect grade of 6.45, which indicates boom-or-bust potential according to the NFL, impressive Combine results include a 4.5-second 40-yard dash, 1.54-second 10-yard split, a 37-inch vertical jump, and a 10' 9'' broad jump.
NFL Network's Peter Schrager forecasts the Vikings selecting Alabama's Terrion Arnold
Various experts predict that Arnold will be selected in the first round, with projections ranging from No. 13 to No. 26. Meanwhile, recently, Peter Schrager, a sportscaster on Fox Sports and NFL Network, predicted the Vikings to select Alabama cornerback prospect Terrion Arnold at No. 11 overall in the 2024 NFL draft, during Apr. 25 – 27.
"This might cause mass hysteria in Minnesota,” Schrager said.
Over the past two years at Alabama, Arnold has been on the field for 790 snaps covering plays, and he has earned a coverage grade of 87.6.
Conversely, the cornerback lineup this year showcases top-tier talent and the possibility of superstars, highlighting individuals such as Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo and Cooper DeJean from Iowa as standout prospects.
