While Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders should arguably have his own table for the Heisman Trophy ceremony at the Lincoln Center in New York, he would rather be seated on fellow teammate Travis Hunter's table. On Dec. 9, Heisman finalists were announced during ESPN's Monday Night Countdown.

Hunter was joined by Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty, Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward. Ahead of the ceremony, Sanders hit the streets of New York to shop for outfits. After attending a New York Knicks game against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, Shedeur hit the streets for tons of clothes and merchandise to suit up for the upcoming ceremony.

He shared photos from his shopping trip on Instagram on Thursday, and in one snap, when he was moving out of the store picking up many shopping bags, fans arrived to catch a glimpse of him.

Travis Hunter may be the reason Shedeur Sander hit the NY streets for shopping

During Wednesday's episode of "The Travis Hunter Show" the Heisman candidate made it clear that if Shedeur Sanders wanted to have a seat at his table, he better come up wearing good outfits unlike the baggy suit he wore while receiving the 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

The suit was picked up by coach and father Deion Sanders, which Hunter guessed correctly.

"You better not come in there with that baggy suit on it dog. Again, dog, we going to move you, you ain't going to be sitting next to us," Hunter said (13:00 onwards).
"I know, bro, I was supposed to get my own table but..."Sanders replied.

While Shedeur Sanders doesn't bother proving to anyone, Hunter said he deserved his own table, unlike popular opinion.

"I'm really not tripping on it, bro," Sanders said (3:45). "Like, honestly, I don't need others' validation to know who I am. ... So, I don't really care as long as they give at least one of us (Travis Hunter) the respect we deserve. That's all that matter to me.
"If I win an award ... it's on behalf of the team, the O-line, the receiving corps. ... Because without those guys, I wouldn't be able to do it. ... So, if Travis receives the award, it's because of the team."

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, who will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, are expected to suit up for one last time when they take on the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl game on Dec. 28
