Nick Saban and his wife, Mrs. Terry, continue to make a difference in Alabama through their annual Nick’s Kids Foundation Luncheon. Held at Bryant-Denny Stadium, this year’s event was a great success, with over $625,000 in donations.
The foundation posted lively pictures from the event on its Instagram page, which were captioned:
“Coach Saban & Ms. Terry championing children! The best week as we celebrated at our Annual Giveaway Luncheon!”
Since they arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007, the Sabans have donated millions of dollars to charities across Alabama. The former Alabama coach said that this day remains one of his favorites every year.
"Today is all about the kids and how we can help people in our community have a better quality of life. I am really happy and proud of all the people that have supported Nick’s Kids through the years,” he said.
“I am especially appreciative of Miss Terry for her time and effort of trying to help as many people as she can in our community."
This year, the foundation's projects also included the Saban Center. This innovative initiative is designed to enhance education by integrating STEM programs and the arts in Tuscaloosa.
