The Colorado Buffaloes, under coach Deion Sanders, and his sons Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, have attained a level of access to celebrities from different spheres of society that's almost unprecedented in college sports.

A video was recently posted on the "Well Off Forever" Instagram page showing the quarterback Shedeur, his Buffs teammates and former Tampa Bay star Antonio Brown laughing on a FaceTime call. The post was captioned:

"I wish y’all could hear these conversations 😂😂😂."

Shedeur Sanders praised by analyst

The confident Shedeur Sanders has divided opinions among fans and analysts due to his brash manner off the gridiron after making the jump from the FCS with Jackson State to the FBS with Colorado.

On "NFL Live," ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller spoke about the potential the Buffs quarterback has shown despite never having played at the FBS level before.

“Man, the jump last year from Jackson State, a lower level of competition, to Colorado. You expected some bumps, some acclimation,” Miller said.
“There was none of that. He came out just throwing missiles from Day One. It’s the surgical accuracy from Shedeur Sanders. And a lot of folks hear that name, and we know he’s Deion’s son. You think, ‘Oh, he’s gonna be this prolific runner. He’s gonna be this huge-armed quarterback.’ That’s not his game."

Sanders threw for 3,230 yards on 69.3% completion, resulting in 27 touchdowns and three interceptions in a mixed season for the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023 after an electrifying start that pettered out to a 4-8 record.

Miller highlighted the fact that the Buffs offensive line was below average, leading to the talented quarterback being the most sacked QB (52) in DI of college football.

“You do see a lot of off-platform from him because their offensive line was the worst offensive line in college football last year,” Miller said.
“Their defense was probably the worst defense in college football last year. So he had to play some hero ball. But he showed his toughness and his leadership, and I cannot get over the great accuracy that he shows to all levels of the field."

Deion Sander's team will play in the Big 12 next season, and the charismatic coach has fulfilled his promise from last season to recruit a new offensive line to protect his son.

Despite the off-field distractions, Shedeur Sanders is still expected to be one of the most productive quarterbacks in college football once again ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
