Following Colorado's meteoric 2024 season, Deion Sanders Jr. is relaunching the GOAT merchandise line. Coach Prime's son initially introduced the clothing line in 2019, leveraging his father's successful football career to market hoodies to sports fans.
Sanders Jr. posted a picture of a new GOAT hoodie on his Well Off Instagram on Wednesday. This marked the return of the line after going out of the market for a few years. With the hype around the Sanders family at the moment, the timing of the relaunch seems perfect.
“Back at it,” Sanders Jr. captioned the post.
Fans can expect to have the merchandise line on the market soon. There’s an anticipation that this will be early in the college football offseason.
Deion Sanders Jr. once said the GOAT line was made for his father and Shedeur
In his introduction of the GOAT clothing line in 2019, Deion Sanders Jr. said in a social media video that it was made for Coach Prime and his quarterback brother, Shedeur.
This preceded their exploit in the college football landscape both at Jackson State and Colorado. Coach Prime was then a high school coach, serving as an offensive coordinator in Shedeur Sanders’ school, Trinity Christian (Texas).
Sanders Jr. also described the quality of the material from which the hoodies were made in the video. It gave an early glimpse of what to expect in the luxury clothing line then.
“You can see me right now,” Sanders said while showing the GOAT hoodie. “We actually made this for my dad and Shedeur, because they are the GOATs. My dad's a GOAT, of course, and Shedeur is a GOAT. Y'all just don't know yet, future GOAT.
“I want to show y'all how we made these. As you can see, there's mink in the hood. You see that legit mink. This is that fat mink. It's actual, seriously mink. Then we also put GOAT on mink. … It's a lighter, it's a thinner mink. And to get the words, we put it in here, it cuts it for us G-O-A-T.”
Deion Sanders Jr.’s word about Shedeur Sanders in the video reinstates the level of confidence he had in the quarterback even before the start of his college football career.
Shedeur has gone on to make a significant impact in the college football world at both Jackson State and Colorado, living up to the hype. He’s now set to transition onto the professional stage where he's projected as the first quarterback off the draft board.
