Shedeur Sanders is getting ready for his first bowl game in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Colorado is scheduled to play in the Alamo Bowl against BYU on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas, and the quarterback won’t be opting out despite being projected as a top draft pick.
Ahead of the game, Sanders is getting some photoshoots done in San Antonio. The quarterback shared a couple of stylish snaps done on the Buffaloes’ practice field for the Alamo Bowl on Thursday. He seems to be relishing his time in the city and wants to make the most of it. The bowl game will be Shedeur Sanders’ last appearance for Colorado before heading to the NFL.
Here’s a look at the pictures he shared on TikTok below.
Shedeur Sanders on what he looks out for in the Alamo Bowl
A lot is expected from Shedeur Sanders in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. Without a doubt, BYU is a formidable opponent. However, the quarterback is expected to bring out his best performance against the Cougars as he rounds up his time at the collegiate level.
In his press conference session ahead of the Alamo Bowl on Thursday, the quarterback talked about what he is looking out for against BYU. He’s aware of the brilliance of Kalani Sitake’s team and he expects to be given some problems on Saturday.
"For me, it's problem-solving,” Sanders said (timestamp 2:35). “We know they're going to do a lot of exotic things and a lot of different things that we probably haven't seen on film, but we just got to always stick to the basics and do what we do best. They're a talented team, and they listen to their coaches and they do everything 98% right.”
Shedeur Sanders will be happy to play with his teammates in the NFL
Shedeur Sanders will be taking the next step to the professional stage after the Alamo Bowl. While his landing spot is not certain, the quarterback expressed his eagerness to play with any of his Colorado teammates in the NFL.
"Anyone of them I'm excited to play with," Sanders said (Timestamp: 11:13). "I really hope it happens, you know? I really hope it does because I know them, you know? I know everything about them, so I'm just, who knows? I'll be excited for it though, but I'm definitely pulling for them, though. I'm definitely am."
Sanders has a strong chance of being the first-overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The spot is currently held by the New York Giants, looking to draft a new franchise quarterback.
