In 2024, Air Noland will be joining Ohio State's crowded quarterback room, sitting next to the likes of Will Howard and Julian Sayin.

Noland could be the future quarterback for the Buckeyes, and something that could boost his initial chances are his ratings as a high school prospect. But what is his rating, and is he a five-star ranked prospect?

Is Air Noland a five-star prospect?

Many publications that have written about Air Noland describe him as a "five-star prospect." However, the two biggest player rating organizations have reported otherwise.

247sports.com says that Noland is a four-star prospect. On3.com also rate him as a four-star prospect. This rating is also shared by ESPN.

This means that Air Noland is a four-star prospect.

What was Air Noland like in high school?

Noland went to Langston Hughes High School, located in the state of Georgia. He played there for all four years of his high school career and was able to gain experience early, playing a few games in his freshman year.

His best year in high school came during his junior year in 2022, when he led Langston Hughes to an undefeated 15-0 season and the school's first state title in its history.

Individually, Noland was voted the Georgia Region 5-AAAAAA Player of the Year, in a season where he threw 55 touchdowns. This is the second-highest in state history and his performance is comparable to Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson. The 729 points the team scored as a whole was a state record.

His senior year did not live up to what he did the previous season, but he still threw for a respectable 2,140 yards and scored 22 touchdowns.

Could Air Noland play for Ohio State this season?

Air Noland is not expected by play this season. There is likely to be a battle for who will be the backup quarterback for the Buckeyes this season, for which Noland may be in contention.

As for the starter, Ohio State announced this week that former Kansas State Wildcat Will Howard will be the starter. It is likely that junior Devin Brown will be the backup QB this season.

However, in the coming years, Noland will be in contention to start. But it may not be easy, as he will be in direct competition with former Alabama Crimson Tide commit Julian Sayin, who, unlike Noland, has been ranked as a five-star prospect.
