The Army Black Knights vs. Navy Midshipmen game is a classic game, pitting two of the five branches of the United States military against one another on the football field as a standalone game between the end of the conference championship games and the bowl games. One of the attendees for Saturday's game is the 45th President, and President-elect, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance have a suite for this game. Two guests are expected to join them as well as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Daniel Penny, a military veteran who was acquitted of homicide this week after choking a New York subway rider, was invited as Vance's guest.
This is not the first time that Donald Trump has attended a football game as he did so during the campaign trail. He was in attendance for the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide game on Sept. 28 as well as the New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL game on Oct. 20. Trump was also scheduled to attend the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Penn State Nittany Lions game but did not attend.
Which team has the advantage in this game, Army or Navy?
The Navy Midshipmen are heading to Northwest Stadium to take on the No. 22 Army Black Knights on Saturday. However, the Black Knights should have the distinct advantage with one of the top players in college football in quarterback Bryson Daily.
Bryson Daily has played well, completing 45-of-78 (57.7%) of his passes for 877 yards with eight passing touchdowns to one interception. However, his presence is significantly felt in the running game with 264 rushing attempts for 1,480 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and 29 rushing touchdowns.
The Black Knights have been the better team as of late, winning each of the last two meetings, including a 17-11 win last season. Army's defense has stepped up as both teams are keen to run the football and throw when needed. There is a reason why the Army Black Knights won the American Athletic Conference this season.
The Black Knights are leading the nation in rushing yards per game (314.4) and should be able to dominate on the ground to win this game.
