EA Sports College Football 25 is scheduled for server maintenance on Friday, August 9, starting at 11:15 AM ET. During this downtime, expect all online modes—including Team Builder—to be unavailable.

The CUT Gauntlet will also not be available. Players are advised to finish any ongoing online games before the maintenance kicks off!

The in-game mode also underwent an update yesterday, which brought in several tweaks. The “Road to the CFP” mode now has a more balanced tier system, expanding from three to five tiers. This means you’re less likely to face off against powerhouse teams like Alabama or Georgia if you're playing with a lower-rated squad.

In the “Team Builder” mode, uniforms for several teams, including the Baylor Bears, Oregon Ducks, and Iowa State Cyclones, have been updated. Plus, some stadiums have been revamped, adding a touch of realism and excitement to the game.

College Football 25 is finally showing signs of improvement, with major title updates released on August 8. EA Sports has addressed numerous bugs that have plagued the game since its launch. Here’s what’s new:

Gameplay Enhancements: The update introduces eight new shotgun formations and tweaks to pursuit logic, aiming for better pursuit angles and a more impactful recruit rating.

From now on, players should expect fewer broken tackles from behind. Several other bugs have been fixed, including offensive players lining up incorrectly and spiking the ball in online modes.

Some AI adjustments have been pushed in the update; gamers should expect their quarterbacks to prefer lob passes over bullet ones. The offensive linemen will also prefer avoiding illegal downfield penalties.

Dynasty Mode Fixes: You can now have more than 20 created coaches in an online Dynasty League, and updates have been made to score summaries and news stories.

The Playoff Bracket Screen is new, and rivalry data has been refreshed. FCS teams have been nerfed, and dynamic attendance penalties for playing these teams have been reduced.
