While their season was not as successful as many would have hoped, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes were one of the most talked about teams in college football this year. The program produced Travis Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, and improved dramatically from a four-win season in 2023 to nine wins in 2024.

The season also saw the Buffaloes make their first bowl game appearance in a full season since 2016. They lost against BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

On Thursday, Sanders shared some figures from that game on his X (formally Twitter) account, with the main takeaway being that eight million people tuned in to watch his Buffaloes play in the Alamo Bowl, making it the most watched Alamo Bowl in its 32-year history.

Here is how fans reacted to these figures. These fans praised Deion Sanders for his work with the Colorado Buffaloes over the last two seasons.

"It’s a beautiful thing, Coach Prime. Thank you, for everything you do for the Buffs." This fan said.
"Yeah Coach look at GOD🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏽💪🏽" Another fan said

These fans mentioned the impact the Alamo Bowl and the Buffaloes' appearance in said game had on the city of San Antonio, where the game was held.

"Those are some impactful figures. I’ve spent a lot of time in San Antonio. Great town. They can use the windfall this game produced." This fan said
"Wow. Coach Prime and Colorado Buffs brought some serious economic impact to the greater San Antonio area. Best is yet to come!" Another fan said.

Meanwhile, this fan praised the "PRIME" effect.

"That’s that PRIME effect baby 🔥🔥 bigger than football 💪🏾," this fan said.

Deion Sanders on whether he'd consider moving to the NFL

With the Buffaloes season over, Deion Sanders is preparing for the 2025 season. However, he may be doing this for an NFL team rather than the Buffaloes. Sanders has been heavily linked to a move to the NFL, with many speculating that this may be done so he is able to remain coaching his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.

This has been confirmed by Deion himself, who made an appearance on Good Morning America, said the following:

"The only way I would consider it (a move to the NFL) is to coach my sons."

Deion Sanders' son Shedeur is projected to be a top pick in the NFL Draft. He wore custom New York Giants cleats during the Alamo Bowl. The Giants, who need a quarterback, have the No. 3 pick in the draft.
