“It’s a childhood dream” — Alabama’s 5-star WR Ryan Williams expresses excitement about featuring in EA CFB 25

Alabama Crimson Tide's five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams has expressed his excitement about being in EA Sports College Football 25. Williams was a five-star recruit in the class of 2024, according to 247 Sports, and was the eighth-ranked player in the class.

The WR is entering his freshman season, although he did not participate in the A-Day scrimmage on April 13. But there are high expectations of him, and he confirmed he will be in EA Sports College Football 25.

"Definitely means a lot. It's a childhood dream," Williams said to The Bama Factor on Instagram.

Williams was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama for 2022-23 and 2023-24. He recorded 72 receptions for 1,324 yards and 19 touchdowns while also rushing 30 times for 261 yards and seven touchdowns.

For being in CFB 25, each athlete will receive $600 and a copy of the video game.

Kalen DeBoer heaps praise on Ryan Williams

Heading into the season, Alabama Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer heaped praise on Ryan Williams.

Although Williams is a freshman, DeBoer is expecting the wide receiver to have a key year for Alabama.

“We’ll play the best guys, guys that can get out there and help us. It doesn’t matter what age they are. And Ryan certainly has got a very special skillset — explosiveness, along with just consistent production. I think from him, what’s been just so impressive, it goes back to the week we met with him and he came on campus. There was so much thrown at him, a new head coach, new coordinator, new position coach," DeBoer said, via AL.com.

"And when I hear him talk about what it is within our program that he really enjoyed and is excited about. He retained so much of that information, which leads you to believe that man, this is an important decision for him, that he was being really thorough, being really thoughtful. I just can’t wait to get him there with our guys because that attention to detail, is something that you just can’t take for granted," DeBoer added.

Williams is projected to be a rotational wide receiver for the Crimson Tide this season but could work his way into a bigger role.

Alabama will open the 2024 college football season on August 31 at home against Western Kentucky. The Crimson Tide have notable games against Georgia, Wisconsin, Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma and others.
