College football fans and gamers are waiting for the highly anticipated release of EA Sports College Football 25. After a hiatus of over a decade, with the last college football game being NCAA 14, the latest edition of the series is scheduled to release on July 14, 2024.

Fans have already been treated to a trailer of the game, showcasing intricate graphic details and several college traditions. Now, gaming journalist Mike Straw has provided some new updates about the next installment of the CFB game franchise. Straw shared some details about one of the game modes — the Road to Glory mode.

This mode is basically the story mode of the game, where the player will build their own athlete and go through their college career. According to Mike Straw, the Road to Glory mode in EA Sports College Football 25 will not have a highly scripted story. It will include certain RPG elements, but it will not be similar to old Madden and NCAA game storylines.

"Road to Glory was going to be a story mode type of single player mode. And I can tell you that if you're thinking that it's going to be like the old Madden storylines for My Player or the old Spike Lee My Career stories, it's not gonna be like that."

"It's gonna have different RPG elements I guess you can say. But the main is gonna be how you choose to interact and build up your player and perform on the field and what goes through your head personally as you're playing. It's not gonna be anything over the top or highly produced. So if that's your worry, I wouldn't be too concerned about that because that's just simply not the case from what I know. There might me some elements but don't expect it to be a full Spike Lee type of production when College Football comes out."

Will EA Sports College Football 25 have cross-play?

According to the publisher's official website, cross-play will be available in the latest release of the beloved CFB franchise. Gamers will be able to cross-play between PS5 and XBox Series X/S.

Cross-play will be available in different game modes, such as Roady to Glory, Ultimate Team and Play A Friend. However, fans will not be able to use this feature in the Dynasty mode. There might be a possibility of cross-play being added in future games of the franchise.
