Jaxson Dart led his Ole Miss Rebels team to victory during Week 6 against the South Carolina Gamecocks. However, once this game had finished, Dart's attention was focused on events in Nashville, Tennessee.

This was because the news was spreading that the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide was about to lose to the Vanderbilt Commodores.

This game became must-see TV, and this is what Dart did. Not only did he watch the game on a phone, but he and his teammates' reactions to the game were streamed on Instagram for the whole world to see.

It is safe to say that Dart, like many people watching this game, was shocked by the result.

Nobody expected the Commodores to do a lot in this game. While they have had a competitive start to the season, they were never seen as being able to stay with the Crimson Tide.

The No. 1 ranked team in the country had defeated the Georgia Bulldogs last week in what has been described as one of the best games in the history of college football.

However, as this sport has shown time after time, anything can happen. Alabama's loss to Vanderbilt will forever be a moment etched into the memories of college football fans for years to come.

Jaxson Dart talks about an unlikely star for Ole Miss

On the field, Jaxson Dart was able to lead his Ole Miss Rebels to a 27-3 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks. This was a much-needed win, as last week the Rebels were defeated by the Kentucky Wildcats to give them their first loss of the season.

Dart appeared to have a below-average game. He went 14 from 27, throwing from 285 yards. He did not score any touchdowns in this game. Most of these came from the run game, especially from nose tackle JJ Pegues, who would score two touchdowns from the one-yard line.

Speaking about Pegues after the game, Dart told the media:

"He's so awesome. He's the only defensive tackle who can move like that in the whole country. He could honestly play tight end for us, too. He's a special talent ... Any time he has the ball in his hands on offense, good things are going to happen."

However, while the Rebels were able to easily defeat the Gamecocks, their game next week will not be as easy, as they face the LSU Tigers. It will be in a game that could be important in deciding which of these teams makes the college football Playoffs.
