Comparison of Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty's seasons

Travis Hunter's Heisman-winning season was impressive. He recorded a team-leading 1,152 receiving yards and scored 14 touchdowns. On defense, he was able to make 31 tackles and record 11 pass deflections.

He was a key part of the Buffaloes' offense was led by Shedeur Sanders. Hunter became a reliable target for Sanders, and the two helped lead the Buffaloes to a 9-3 record. This is a massive improvement on previous years, and kept Colorado in contention for the Big 12 championship game until the final week.

In contrast, Jeanty had a historic season. He has recorded a staggering 2,497 rushing yards and scored 29 touchdowns on 344 carries. He is close to breaking Barry Sanders' single season record, which was set in 1988.

Unlike Hunter, Jeanty was essentially Boise State's offense. While the Buffaloes did not make a conference championship game, Jeanty and Boise State won the Mountain West Championship en toure to a bye in the College Football Playoff.
