Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter was crowned as the 2024 Heisman winner on Saturday night. He was considered the favorite to win the coveted award amid his intense two-way battle with Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty for the honor.
Hunter also became the second Colorado player to win this award after ex-RB Rashaan Salaam back in 1994.

After the ceremony and Travis Hunter's Heisman victory, fans took to social media to share their thoughts and perspectives on the Colorado star clinching the victory. One fan stated that Ashton Jeanty was more deserving of the Heisman than Hunter.
"Jeanty robbed"
Meanwhile, another fan praised Hunter after his Heisman win.
"Salute!"
This fan stated that Hunter successfully called his shot with the Heisman win.
"damn he really called it 😂"
Another fan felt that Hunter deserved the Heisman because he is a very rare two-way player in football.
"Thats' nice to see. He deserves it playing at an elite level on both sides. Haven't seen a single player like him in generations."
This fan threw some shade at Deion Sanders while talking about the Heisman being allegedly rigged in Hunter's favor.
"Well not hard to win when your sugar daddy probably paying for votes. You know his daddy wanted a spotlight for himself more than anything."
One fan felt that Ashton Jeanty's journey and campaign this season was more praise-worthy than Travis Hunter's.
"Absolutely undeserved. Jeanty deserved it so much more."
This season, Hunter helped the Buffs put up a 9-3 campaign In the Big 12. Despite failing to make it to the College Football Playoff, Colorado will be playing in its first Bowl game since the 2020 season. They are scheduled to take on the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl on December 28.
