Julian Lewis, the top-ranked QB, reacted to the 2025 Texas blue-chip WR Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. announcing his commitment to the Buffs. The North Shore High School player chose Colorado over Alabama, Texas A&M, and Nebraska on Saturday.
Farrakhan Jr. is the No. 43 overall recruit in the state of Texas for the class of 2025 as per the 247Sports rankings.
He took a visit to the Buffaloes last month and was also seen working out with Miami Dolphins' star Tyreek Hill.
To congratulate his friend, the USC commit shared the news of Farrakhan Jr.'s commitment on his Instagram story. Lewis used emojis of bags of dollars and his Instagram avatar to react to the news.
Lewis' every move is observed by fans and analysts as many believe that he can decommit from the Lincoln Riley squad and choose Deion Sanders instead.
A Buffs' beat writer added hope to Julian Lewis' potential commitment to the Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes will bump their status if the team gains the talent of JuJu Lewis. Deion Sanders and the team are trying to win him over, while other powerhouses like USC and Auburn are in the line as well. It seems like fans have a glimmer of hope after Scott Proctor, the Colorado Buffaloes' beat writer, said that the likelihood of Lewis joining the Coach Prime squad is a little high.
He mentioned during his appearance on "DNVR Sports" on July 13:
“I think there have been too many signs JuJu’s being able to start right away as a freshman. The relationship he has with Coach Prime, the relationship his father has with Coach Prime, the relationship JuJu had with those Georgia boys that are littered throughout the Colorado football roster.” (12:02)
The relationship with the former Georgia players who are now Buffs might play a factor in Julian Lewis' decision-making process, as per Proctor.
If Julian Lewis decides to switch commitment from the Trojans to the Buffaloes, he can become the face of the season after the departure of Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Shilo.
