Devin Neal addresses the team's fighting following in his postgame interview on Saturday.
“I've said it before that a lot of guys could have given up on this,” Neal told Fox Sports sideline reporter Allison Williams. “But it's special when you see the crowd that showed up today. We built this, and we take a lot of pride in that.”
"It's just so special to go out like that in my last home and a lot of others. It means a lot. There are a lot of emotions I'm feeling right now, but this is such a special group.”
With the running back exhausting his college eligibility this season, the superb performance on his senior night against Colorado will be one to remember for him.
Devin Neal commends his teammates
Kansas ended Colorado's four-game winning streak with the performance at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday. Devin Neal believes that wouldn't have been possible without the support and commitment of his teammates.
“We knew what we wanted to do,” Neal said. “But at the end of the day, I give my credit to my O-line and my receivers. They're so unselfish. They could have easily been pouting and stuff like that for not passing the ball a lot, but they're right with me and I'm right with them.”
"At the end of the day, it's such a special group. There's no selfishness in this team and everyone wants to play for each other. Super proud at the end of the day.”
Neal will play his last regular season game for Kansas In Week 14 with the Jayhawks on the road at Baylor. Heading to the NFL in 2025, he can further improve his draft stock with another performance against the Bears.
