Shilo Sanders struggled against Kansas State in Week 7 after being out for three games with a fractured forearm injury that required surgery. An improvement in his and the Colorado Buffaloes performance was seen this week, as Deion Sanders' program recorded a 34-7 victory over the Arizona Wildcats.

Deion Sanders' ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, was at the game and caught Shilo's reaction after the win, where he spoke about those who criticized him after his performance last week.

"What you hating on me last week, and do you want me to keep going?" Shilo said.

This video was accompanied by a caption from Pilar Sanders, which read:

"Yep! Keep that same energy."

Last week, Shilo Sanders recorded six tackles and was sloppy. After the Kansas State defeat, Shilo's coach and father, Deion Sanders, said of his performance:

“I thought he played horrible. I thought he was rusty.”

This sentiment was echoed by members of the Buffaloes fan base, some of whom thought that Sanders should be benched if he played like he did against Kansas State in the following game against Arizona

Luckily, he and the Buffaloes did not do this. Shilo recorded four tackles (two less than the previous week) but was an important part of the Buffaloes defense that limited Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita to only 134 yards.

After the game, Shilo spoke about the team's performance, saying:

"Everybody is capable and we have a team capable of winning every game, and that's what we did today. Everybody played like themselves."

Shilo Sanders praises Deion Sanders after the game.

After his improved performance compared to last week, Shilo Sanders attended the post-game press conference with his father.

"He’s (Deion Sanders) always mad in practice cuz he knows our potential and if we don’t play up to that standard, he’s always made, he’s going to make us restart practice cuz he knows what we can do,” Shilo told reporters.

Upon hearing, Deion Sanders hugged and kissed his son's head, telling Shilo he was proud.

The victory against the Wildcats gives the Buffaloes five wins this season. This is more than the four wins (4-8) the team recorded last season.
