After pulling a big upset against then-undefeated Liberty, the Kennesaw State Owls entered Wednesday's conference matchup against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers high on confidence. The Hilltoppers too were riding a wave of momentum, coming off two straight wins.

The Owls' defense wasn't as strong as it was a week ago, allowing the Hilltoppers to score 24 points by halftime. Although they stepped up in the second half, it was too little too late as they slumped to a 31-14 defeat.
