Arizona Cardinals wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. turned 22 on Friday, Aug. 11, and some of his former teammates, who turned into close friends, were quick to send their wishes to the first-round pick. Harrison Jr.'s ex-Ohio State teammates, Kyle McCord and Julian Fleming, shared some nostalgic moments with the birthday boy on his special day.
On his Instagram story, Syracuse quarterback McCord posted a snap with Harrison Jr. when the two donned their Buckeyes gear as teammates.
"Happy Bday Fam. Much Love @marvinharrisonjr," McCord wrote on the picture.
Penn State wideout Fleming, who transferred from Ohio State this year, also shared a throwback picture with Harrison Jr. on his Instagram story. In the picture, Fleming and Harrison looked on at the action from the sidelines during a Buckeyes matchup at a packed Ohio Stadium.
"Happy bday brudda @marvinharrisonjr," Fleming wrote on the snap.
Harrison Jr. played three seasons with Ohio State before declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. The receiver racked up 2,495 yards and caught 31 touchdowns on 150 receptions. He also rushed for one touchdown across 37 games.
Harrison Jr. had McCord and Fleming as his teammates for his entire collegiate career with the Buckeyes. While Harrison Jr. got drafted by the Cardinals earlier this year, McCord transferred to Syracuse and Fleming transferred to Penn State.
Cardinals have high hopes for Marvin Harrison Jr. in upcoming 2024 NFL season
The Arizona Cardinals selected Marvin Harrison Jr. as the No. 4 pick in this year's NFL draft. It's safe to say that they used their first-round pick on an exciting talent but the player must now live up to the high expectations of the Arizona faithful.
Moreover, Harrison Jr. is the son of Marvin Harrison Sr., a Super Bowl winner with the Indianapolis Colts, who is also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
While Harrison Jr. has only started his pro football journey and is in his first NFL preseason, it won't be long before a section of fans begin to compare the youngster to his father.
For now, Harrison Jr. can take a day off on his 22nd birthday, a day after playing three snaps in his first NFL preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.
