Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has declared for the 2025 NFL draft ahead of the Bulldogs' College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchup against Notre Dame on New Year's Day. Beck announced his decision on Saturday through an Instagram post.

"First off I want to thank God, for blessing me with the opportunity to play the game I love," Beck captioned the post. ... "The past five years at the University of Georgia have been nothing short of a dream come true and I will forever cherish the memories that have been made. With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Go Dawgs! #AO1"

This was expected, as 2024 marked his senior year. However, due to his COVID year, he still had one year of eligibility remaining at the college level.

The post included heartfelt messages of support from his mother, Tracy Beck, his sister, Kylie Beck and his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder. Hanna's twin sister and fellow Hurricanes player, Haley Cavinder, also shared a supportive comment.

"Love you and beyond proud! I will always be your biggest cheerleader," Tracy commented.
Your future is so bright," Kylie wrote.
"Big things ahead," Haley said.

How high could Carson Beck go in the 2025 NFL draft?

According to ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., Beck is ranked among the five best quarterbacks of this class. The famous draft analyst has him as the fourth-best, behind Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Miami's Cam Ward and Alabama's Jalen Milroe. At the start of the season, Kiper ranked Beck second behind Sanders.

Despite his strong season, Beck is not projected as a first-round pick. He was absent from recent mock drafts by Kiper, Yahoo Sports and CBS Sports. However, Yahoo Sports noted that a strong performance at the NFL Combine could boost his stock, potentially vaulting him into first-round consideration. He is projected to be selected between the second and third rounds.
