Travis Hunter and Leana Lenee deactivate Instagram accounts
Travis Hunter deactivated his Instagram on Sunday to apparently stay away from the public pressure. His fiancée, Leanna Lenee, deleted her account hours later.
During a Twitch stream responding to the online opprobrium, Hunter openly shared the emotional impact the increased attention had on both of them. He disclosed that Lenee was profoundly affected, to the point of crying herself to sleep and turning to substantial alcohol consumption as a way of coping with the negativity.
“Y’all hate on me then you go hate on my girl,” Hunter said. “I feel the same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable. We’re with each other. If she’s hurting I’m hurting [and vice versa].
“She’s still sleeping. She’s lump. You know when you’re hurt you just cry yourself to sleep and you be gone. She’s drunk OD amount tonight for no reason.”
Despite the intense spotlight on their relationship, Travis Hunter emphasized their inseparable bond, stating that her pain directly impacts him.
Hunter’s success in the 2024 college football season has put him in the public eye. The two-way star was outstanding for Colorado this season, winning the Heisman Trophy, among other awards.
