Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin couldn’t help but react to his son Knox’s cheeky back-and-forth with an Arkansas fan on social media. It all started when a Razorbacks fan account, "Old Row Arkansas," posted a jab aimed at Ole Miss, asking:

“WTF EVEN IS A HOTTY TODDY??? DOESNT EVEN MATTER BC THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEIR OWN MASCOT IS AND THE ONLY THING THEY CARE ABOUT IT MAKING THEIR NEXT TIKTOK HOGS BY 90.”

Knox Kiffin, unfazed, jumped into the comments.

“This aged well,” after Ole Miss clinched a 63-31 win over Arkansas on Saturday.

That opened the door for a snarky exchange, with "Old Row Arkansas" asking for the phone number of Knox’s sister, Landry. Knox fired back by simply sharing the final score:

“Yea it’s 63-31.”

A fan on X (formerly Twitter) posted a screenshot of the exchange on the platform, prompting Lane Kiffin to react to the post.

The Rebels coach found the whole exchange amusing and posted a simple emoji to his son's back-and-forth online.

The Arkansas fan continued the feud by playfully calling Knox "Joey Freshwater."

The banter continued, and Knox wrapped it up with a sharp “Get a job” remark. The fan, unbothered, replied:

“This is my job moron.”

Knox’s comeback? “That’s depressing.” The fan had one last word, bringing up the Kiffin family’s history, but Knox kept his cool.

Lane Kiffin shares a funny story about his son, Knox

Lane Kiffin shared a funny story about his son, Knox, and Ole Miss football’s cautious approach to punting. During a June alumni event at the Country Club of Jackson, a fan advised Kiffin to ease up on his fourth-down gambles. It brought Kiffin back to a chat he had with Knox after Ole Miss lost 42-25 to Texas Tech in the 2022 Texas Bowl.

"You sound like my son," Kiffin told the fan [H/t Clarion Ledger]. "After the Houston bowl, he calls and he says, 'That was so embarrassing. It's not a video game, Dad. Punt.'"

Knox, a high school freshman quarterback at Palos Verdes in California, is already catching the attention of college recruiters. Arkansas State, SMU and Mississippi College have each extended offers, with the latest coming in June 2024.
