Colorado coach Deion Sanders aka Coach Prime rued the missed opportunity by his Buffaloes side after they lost 31-28 to the Kansas State Wildcats in Week 7 of college football action after taking the lead with three minutes remaining. During the game, the Buffs paid a heavy toll losing two-way star Travis Hunter, Jimmy Horn Jr. and Omarion Miller to an assortment of injuries.

During his weekly news conference, Sanders gave an update on Miller, ruling him out for the rest of the season.

“I think he (Omarion Miller) had surgery yesterday, so I don’t think he’ll be back this season,” Sanders said.

A day after the proclamation by the charismatic Colorado coach, Miller posted a cryptic message on his Instagram.

"Sometimes you don't gotta tell the story...time will tell," Miller wrote.

Coach Prime has to deal with wide receiver problems

Coach Prime recruited extensively from the transfer portal and one of the areas that the Colorado Buffaloes can boast an almost elite room is in the wide receivers corps.

Sanders was recently accused of misusing two-way star, Travis Hunter, which led to his injury against the Wildcats. The accusation was made by controversial analyst Jason Whitlock during this week's segment of his "Fearless" show.

"Deion Sanders is the reason Travis Hunter got hurt," Whitlock said. "Because Deion Sanders thinks that he has reinvented football and that he is the greatest coach that’s ever hit CFB.
"You know what! I can take a 19-20 and 21-year-old kid with amazing and I can play both ways and play them every snap for a entire season because I am Deion Sanders," he added.

Despite losing Omarion Miller and Terrell Timmons Jr. to injury, the Buffs still have quite a bit of depth in the wide receivers room. During his weekly news conference, Buffs wide receiver LaJohntay Wester who has been in spectacular form this season, registering 318 yards resulting in seven touchdowns was optimistic about the Buffs' ability to cope without the injured prospects.

“It’s next-man-up mentality,” said Wester. “I feel like in our receiver room, we got depth in there of guys who can come in and play and perform just as Travis (Hunter), as Jimmy (Horn Jr.) and all those other guys, too.”

In addition to Jimmy Horn Jr. and impressive two-way star Travis Hunter, Coach Prime has options like freshmen, Jordan Onovughe and Drelon Miller, who could step into the breach vacated by the injured Omarion Miller.
