Shilo Sanders is not forgetting what the BYU Cougars did to them in the 2024 college football season. Shilo is determined to take revenge as the Colorado Buffaloes get ready to clash with BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

A video uploaded by Well Off Media on YouTube shows Shilo delivering a passionate message to Shedeur Sanders and Co. He reminded them of BYU’s victory over Houston, which ultimately prevented Colorado from reaching the Big 12 title game (12:50):

“Y'all gotta remember that this team that, you know, beat Houston, so we couldn't go to the championship. Let's make them pay for that. Let's show them what they missed out on in the championship.”

The Big 12 race was a nail-biter. BYU held the lead until a Week 12 loss to Kansas. In Week 13, Colorado and BYU suffered losses to Kansas and Arizona State, respectively. In Week 14, Colorado needed Houston to defeat the Cougars to reach the Big 12 title game. However, BYU prevailed with a 30-18 victory.

Shedeur Sanders knows defeating BYU will be challenging

Shedeur has had a sensational college career. He boasts 14,139 passing yards and 132 touchdowns. This season, he’s leading the nation with a career-best 74.2% completion rate. But Coach Prime’s quarterback son knows the upcoming Alamo Bowl against BYU, his last game at the collegiate level, won't be a walk in the park.

The 22-year-old is ready for any challenge that BYU presents in front of him at the Alamodome Stadium in Texas:

“For me, it’s problem-solving. We know they’re going to do a lot of exotic things and a lot of different things that we probably haven’t seen on film, but we just have to always stick to the basics and do what we do best.”

The Buffs, led by Shedeur, average 34.5 points per game, third best in the Big 12. However, BYU’s defense is no joke. Cougars coach Kalani Sitake has built a strong defense that leads the Big 12, allowing just 20.1 points per game. Sanders knows this, too:

“They’re a talented team, and they listen to their coaches and do everything 98% right.Watching film on them, it’s very hard to find a tell and very hard to find a flaw.”

Sanders, who has thrown only eight interceptions this year, will be up against a BYU defense, leading the nation with 1.67 interceptions per game. Despite the difficulty, the Buffs QB is excited about the matchup.
