Pilar Sanders is fired up for her son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, as he entered the turf for the Week 3 face-off with the Colorado State Rams. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Pilar posted Shedeur’s impressive stats from last season's game against Colorado State,
Deion Sanders' son posted 38/47, 348 PASS YDS, four TDs and an INT. Pilar fired off a rallying caption:
“Let’s go Boss Man, God cover him and the team. Amen!”
In another post, she doubled down on the energy, sharing a photo of Shedeur with the words, "It’s personal," as the Colorado Buffaloes head north to Fort Collins for the Rocky Mountain Showdown.
Both Colorado and Colorado State are coming in with matching 1-1 records, with memories still afresh from last year’s double-overtime thriller, which the Buffaloes edged out 43-35 at Folsom Field.
Heading into this clash, Colorado had a few injury concerns. Key players like WR Cordale Russell and Shilo Sanders are out, while others like RB Dallan Hayden and NG Chidozie Nwankwo are questionable.

Pilar Sanders’ son Shilo Sanders underwent surgery
Shilo Sanders, Colorado safety and son of coach Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders, underwent surgery for a forearm injury suffered during Saturday’s game against Nebraska, Sanders Sr. confirmed on Monday.
Shilo was injured in the first quarter while trying to tackle Nebraska running back Dante Dowdell and had to sit out the rest of the game as Colorado lost 28-10. Coach Prime shared an encouraging message on X:
"God is Good! Can’t wait to see you back, ready to go. Love ya, son!"
At halftime, Deion Sanders told NBC that Shilo likely broke his forearm and is expected to miss two to three weeks. If he returns by the Sept. 28 game against UCF, it would mark an impressive recovery.
Last season, Shilo tallied 67 tackles, forced four fumbles, broke up three passes and snagged an interception for the Buffaloes.
Coach Prime and his ex-wife Pilar Sanders have always been there for their sons. The couple tied the knot in 1999 and were together for 16 years before parting ways. Despite their separation, their support for their boys remains strong.
