Coach Prime feels the sorrow of everyone in Los Angeles which is suffering as wildfires tear through Pacific Palisades as relentless Santa Ana winds show no signs of settling down. The flames have decimated luxury homes, iconic landmarks and Palisades Charter High School parts.

Over 30,000 residents have been displaced. The city is covered in a blanket of smoke amidst power outages. The region is in a state of emergency. Amid the chaos, Deion Sanders, a.k.a. Coach Prime, shared a heartfelt message of support. Taking to X, he posted:

“Lord I lift up everyone this fire will affect in California in JESUS name Amen!”

Firefighters are battling fierce winds, some reportedly reaching up to 100 mph. Bulldozers are clearing roads for emergency responders while aerial operations remain grounded. Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency, and federal aid has been approved to support the stretched resources.

Coach Prime's son has questions about LA Wildfires

Shilo Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes safety and son of Coach Prime, is speaking out as Los Angeles battles devastating wildfires. Taking to Instagram, Shilo shared his support and frustrations as one of his close friends lost everything to the flames.

“One of my closest friends just lost everything,” he wrote.
“I'm always gon ask questions because the safety of my friends and their families are at risk. I think we all should continue to ask questions to find ways of prevention and ways to help,” Shilo added.

On a podcast, Shilo expressed confusion over the wildfire crisis.

“I just don’t understand wildfires. How can you not put out a fire? With all the firefighters we have, all the water that’s in California, how can you just not put out a fire,” he said, later joking, “There’s someone running around California lighting fires. We just don’t know who it is.”

With red flag warnings still in effect, Shilo echoes the urgency of finding solutions to protect lives and prevent future devastation.
