Louisiana Tech projected starting lineup and depth chart for Independence Bowl | 2024 college football season 

In an unexpected turn of events, the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (5-7) will play the Army Black Knights in the Independence Bowl on Saturday in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Bulldogs will feature against Army in the bowl game because the Marshall Thundering Herd withdrew due to a large number of players opting out.

While Louisiana Tech wasn't expecting a chance to play in the postseason, they will be missing four starters. David Blay and J'Dan Burnett entered the transfer portal, while Kolbe Fields and Bert Hale will be out with injuries.

They will face a tough challenge, as Army (11-2) dropped games against Navy and Notre Dame, who have combined for a 21-4 record.
