In Alabama's latest documentary, LANK (Let All Naysayers Know), former Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold and quarterback Jalen Milroe shine brightly. The documentary, which was released on Friday, features not only these two standout players but also former head coach Nick Saban. The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at Crimson Tide’s 2023 season and its journey to the College Football Playoff.
CFB insider Jim Dunaway shared his thoughts on the documentary, calling it a "love story," between two great friends, Arnold and Milroe.
“Just finished the length documentary. It's a love story to me … It's a love story between two great friends Jalen Milroe and Terrion Arnold,” Dunaway said.
“It's a love story between athletes and the sport that they spend their whole life playing and working for,” Dunaway said. “It's a love story of teammates. It's a love story of players who want to give back to a university that gave them a platform.”
According to Dunaway, the 24-minute documentary isn't just a glimpse into the past; it's also a strategic business move. He praised the Arnold-Milroe duo for their planning and execution:
“This documentary… is gonna continue to pay it forward for Alabama athletes, not just in football, but everywhere,” Dunaway said. “Really, a love story between two great personalities.”
“If you had a locker room full of Terrion Arnold and Jalen Milroe's talent with that team-first mentality and that love for each other and for teammate. You can't lose. Clear eyes, full heart, right?”
Alabama's LANK documentary featuring Terrion Arnold and Jalen Milroe defined a season of highs and lows
After facing early doubt following a 34-24 loss to the Texas Longhorns last season, the documentary captured how the Crimson Tide bounced back, before eventually falling to Michigan 27-20 in the Rose Bowl, ending their season with a 12-2 record.
Reflecting on the documentary, Terrion Arnold, who was drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, proudly wore a jacket with "LANK" embroidered on draft night.
“We just wanted to create something that not only our team could buy into, but the ‘Bama fans,” he said. “I truly feel like we have the No. 1 support system in all of college. So we really wanted to create something for them, something meaningful.” [via On3].
The documentary features insights from General Manager Courtney Morgan, current head coach Kalen DeBoer, former head coach Nick Saban, Terrion Arnold, and Jalen Milroe.
Looking ahead, QB Milroe will be working with new Alabama offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan this fall.
