LSU Tigers left tackle Will Campbell signed a NIL deal with Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys on Sept. 26, bringing his total NIL valuation to $883,000, according to On3. As part of the partnership, they collaborated on a video showcasing one of Campbell's passions: alligator hunting.
Campbell went out in the swamps of Lockport, Louisiana, to hunt alligators with a team of experts. He showed his experience by handling the alligators, even holding one’s mouth shut with his bare hands.
The video was a hit among LSU fans, and many praised Campbell on X.
"That's my LT baby!," one fan wrote.
"Gotta hand it to your social media team. They are quite savvy and produce interesting and fun ad campaigns for you guys. I also like the home town lawyer ad campagin. Brian Colomb & your team are excellent lawyers in lafayette," one fan commented.
"Will is a bad mf," one fan added.
Other fans commented on the fear they had watching the video, not wanting their left tackle to get hurt during the season. Others did not love that Campbell partnered with lawyers at all.
"BK having a heart attack watching that video... maybe go in February," one fan wrote.
"Do you feel any shame whatsoever about being the reason Louisiana has the highest car insurance rates in the country? Or are you such a POS narcissist that you just odn't care?," one fan commented.
Will Campbell and LSU continue their season on Saturday
Although it was certainly exciting for Will Campbell to hunt some alligators with his new NIL partners, he still has his focus on the rest of LSU's season. The Tigers (5-1, 2-0 SEC) are on a roll, having won their last five games after losing the season opener 27-20 to USC.
On Saturday, the Tigers won 29-26 in overtime against the then No. 8 Ole Miss. The win propelled LSU to No. 8 in the AP Top 25 Poll, their highest ranking of the season.
The season continues for LSU on Saturday when the team travels to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks (4-2, 2-1). The game will kick off at 7 p.m. ET.
