The LSU Tigers are on the road to play the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on ABC.

LSU (6-1, 3-0 SEC) is ranked eighth and coming off a 34-10 road win against Arkansas. Texas A&M (6-1, 4-0 SEC) is ranked 14th and is coming off a 34-24 road win against Mississippi State.

LSU vs Texas A&M: Preview

LSU is a 2.5-point underdog on the road against Texas A&M. The over/under is set at 54 points.

Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is playing well and looking like the real deal. He has thrown for 2,222 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Tigers lost its first game to USC and since then, LSU has looked completely different. Nussmeier also made waves before this game as he questioned Kyle Field being louder than Death Valley.

Nussmeier says it will be a tough environment to play in but he's eager for the challenge.

“Obviously, we acknowledge it’s a tough environment. It’s a tough place to play. It’s going to be loud, it’s going to be exciting,” Nussmeier said, via On3. “For us, we’re playing a football game this Saturday. Yeah, it’s going to be loud. That’s going to be the environment … We’re focused on us. We’re focused on executing to the best of our ability and attacking our opponent.”

LSU is also led by Kyren Lacy, who has 512 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Zy Alexander has two interceptions, Bradyn Swinson has seven sacks and Whit Weeks has 68 tackles.

Texas A&M, meanwhile, lost its season opener but the Aggies have been on a roll as Conner Weigman has started to play better under center.

The Aggies offense is led by running back Le'Veon Moss, who's rushed for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. LSU coach Brian Kelly says stopping the Aggies offense will be easier said than done.

"They‘re running the ball very well, over 200 yards rushing a game. But they‘re very balanced on offense, they throw it very well. I think Conner Weigman is a really good quarterback, he‘s deceptive in terms of his speed and he’s got very good weapons," Kelly said, via Lonestar Live.
"[Le’Veon] Moss, at the running back position, leads the SEC in rushing per game and then he‘s got a bevy of receivers led by [Noah] Thomas...I think he has a very good offensive line," Kelly added.

The Aggies defense is led by Marcus Ratcliffe, who has three interceptions, Nic Scourton has 4.5 sacks, and Taurean York has 40 tackles.

This should be a very close game, but LSU's offense is legit and the Tigers should be able to go into Kyle Field and get a road win. Nussmeier is playing at a Heisman level, while Weigman will throw some costly interceptions which will give LSU a plus-field position which will be the difference.

Prediction: LSU 34, Texas A&M 28
