After receiving a lot of love and compliments from fans, Loreal Sarkisian took the time to express her gratitude on Monday.

Loreal Sarkisian discusses the history of leather coats
The compliments prompted Loreal to discuss the history of leather coats in the fashion industry.
“Since it got so much attention, I thought it’d be fun to share a little leather coat 101– because if we’re going to love something this much we might as well know about it right?” Loreal wrote.
She explained the origin of leather coats in the fashion world, how they were adopted, for what purpose and how they eventually became popular. Her brief explanation gave ample details on the history and growth of the use of leather in the industry.
“Initially, leather coats were designed for practical purposes, offering protection against harsh weather conditions,” Loreal wrote. “Over time, they evolved into fashion statements are designers realized leather’s versatility and luxurious appeal.”
Loreal Sarkisian went on to name the fashion brands that started using leather for clothing and when they started to use them.
“Hermes is credited as one of the first high-fashion brands to incorporate leather into clothing," Loreal wrote. "In the 1920s, they began using leather for coats and jackets, leveraging their expertise in crafting equestrian goods. This luxury paved the way for other luxury houses like Chanel and Saint Laurent to elevate leather outerwear into high-fashion staples.”
It will be interesting to see whether Loreal Sarkisian will be present for Texas' College Football Playoff matchup against Clemson on Dec. 21.
