Michigan Wolverines injury report

Joe Taylor, WR

Senior wide receiver and special teams contributor Joe Taylor is questionable after missing Week 1 due to undisclosed reasons.

Taylor played in all 15 games for Michigan last season, mostly playing on special teams.

Jack Tuttle, QB

Quarterback Jack Tuttle is also questionable after he missed Week 1 with an elbow injury.

Tuttle is recovering from a UCL tear in his right elbow. The quarterback would be the Wolverines' third-stringer, as Davis Warren and Alex Orji are ahead of him.

Rod Moore, DB

Rod Moore is recovering from a torn ACL and will miss most, if not all, of the 2024 season.

The defensive back has spent his last three seasons with Michigan and in 2023, he recorded 38 tackles, three pass defenses, and two interceptions.

Texas Longhorns injury report

CJ Baxter, RB

Running back CJ Baxter is out for the 2024 season after he suffered torn LCL and PCL. The injury happened in fall practice.

“Obviously we got some unfortunate news coming out of practice the other day with Cedric Baxter being lost for the season,” coach Steve Sarkisian said on Thursday via On3.
“I hate it for the kid. The same way I talked about Liona Lefau the other day, if you polled our team who the top three teammates on our team, Cedric Baxter would be in that top one, two or three as well.”

Baxter was expected to be a big part of the Longhorns running game in 2024.

Christian Clark, RB

Freshman running back Christian Clark is out for the season. The running back suffered a torn Achilles on a non-contact play during fall practice.
