The Michigan Wolverines are being investigated by the NCAA in a sign-stealing scandal centered around Connor Stalions. While the suspended staffer has deleted all of his social media accounts, it was not before fans discovered his Venmo account.
Fans pointed out one interesting transaction, labeled "GA," which took place the day before the Georgia Bulldogs and Ohio State Buckeyes faced off in the College Football Playoff semifinal.
@RedditCFB shared the info:

"Michigan staffer Connor Stalions made a public Venmo transaction to Michigan Recruiting Intern Chase Evans with the description “GA”, the day before last year’s Peach Bowl. 🕵️"
@daily_msu claimed that they are convinced the Wolverines were cheating:
"I’ve never been more convinced that Michigan cheated"
@AnotherZeldaFan predicted the punishment that Michigan could face for its actions:
"This is a well financed operation. Michigan wins in the past 3 seasons will be vacated. ouch!"
@Michigan_Man1 suggested that there is no evidence of anything:
"🤣 🤣 🤣 🤡 Michigan also played that same day. GA can mean anything. Do you know how court/law works? You can't just make shit up and draw sideways conclusions. You need concrete evidence, not a venmo transaction with "GA" 🤣"
@bluebloodsbias seconded the notion that the transactions were meaningless:
"The people that think this is a smoking gun really confuse me. They’re coworkers & prob friends, he could’ve been venmoing him for something as simple as food. Y’all are really showing ur age with these takes man"
@RedditCFB noted that the carelessness of the Wolverines was most shocking:
"The technically breaking rules part is obviously bad and deserves a solid fingerwag, but the complete failure of basic OpSec while cheating deserves an immense amount of scorn."
@AnalyticsGOAT questioned who the recipient of the transaction was:
"Apologies, but who's Chase Evans and what's the significance of "GA"?"
@sportsman365 suggested the randomized nature of bowl games could have led to the Michigan Wolverines' lack of wins since Jim Harbaugh took over:
"Makes you wonder about michigans winless bowl game record over the Harbaugh era when opponents were random and no opportunity to scout in game signals. 🤔 🤔"
What accusations are the Michigan Wolverines facing?
Michigan Wolverines staffer Connor Stalions has been accused of purchasing tickets to more than 30 games over the past three years, involving 11 Big Ten programs. The games were attended by at least three different people, who all recorded the sideline throughout the game.
Stalions' operation allegedly continued as recently as last weekend's matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions, both of whom remain on the Michigan Wolverines schedule. The tickets would often be positioned at the 45-yard line with a clear angle of the sideline.
