Per reports from multiple outlets, Beau Pribula has chosen his next destination. The former Penn State quarterback, who entered the transfer portal before the Nittany Lions’s College Football Playoff campaign, will continue his college football career at Missouri.

After entering the transfer portal, the former Penn State quarterback attracted significant interest from several top programs. While exploring his options, he reportedly visited Missouri, Ole Miss, Iowa, and UCF. He finally settled on playing for Eli Drinkwitz's program next season.

Beau Pribula's decision has generated many reactions from college football fans who are thrilled to welcome him to the SEC. With two years of eligibility left, there’s a lot to expect from the quarterback in Columbia.

Here’s a look at some of the reactions online.

Other reactions to the transfer:

"Congrats Beau! No doubt you’ll do great at Mizzou," a fan wrote.
"Somehow the day is saved for the Missouri Tigers," another fan wrote.

After serving as a strong backup option for Drew Allar throughout the season, Beau Pribula had to leave Penn State at a very sensitive time. The quarterback announced his portal entry during the Nittany Lions’s preparation for their first round playoff game against SMU.

However, with some fans expressing their displeasure, the quarterback blames the college football calendar for the sensitive timing of his exit decision. The transfer portal window overlaps with the CFP schedule, making it difficult for him to decide on his future.

“The current NCAA postseason model creates a challenge for student-athletes,” Pribula wrote in a statement announcing his portal entry. “The overlapping CFB playoff & transfer portal timeline has forced me into an impossible decision.”
“After speaking at length with my family and coaches, it is with a heavy heart that l announce my intentions to enter the transfer portal and depart from the team to explore opportunities elsewhere. I want to thank the coaches, my teammates, the fanbase, and everyone else who has supported me along this journey.”

Penn State coach James Franklin also publicly defended Beau Pribula's decision in a press conference ahead of the SMU game. The coach also criticized the college football calendar, describing it as a problem.

Pribula is famed for his dual-threat ability. While at Penn State, he threw for 424 yards and nine touchdowns in 24 games. He also rushed for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his prowess on the ground.
