Terrance Ferguson gave his Oregon Ducks teammates a reason to celebrate before the 2024 college football season starts. The Ducks senior tight end got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Sophia Meyer, with their Australian Labradoodles — Obi and Oso — in attendance.
With a scenic view of the Telluride town amid Colorado's Rocky Mountains, the couple uploaded a string of photos of their special day on Instagram:
The Oregon Ducks players and staff quickly jumped into the comments section, wishing the newly engaged couple the best:
"Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. CEO!" Ducks offensive line coach A'lique Terry commented.
"congrats!" said Ducks linebacker Jeffrey Bassa
"Yeah twin congratulations," Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson commented.
"Bout time!" said TE Patrick Herbert.
Former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix's wife, Izzy Nix, also congratulated Ferguson and Sophia Meyer, saying:
"I’m so happy for y’all!!!!! 🥹🤍
Traeshon Holden, another Oregon WR, commented:

Terrance Ferguson — a key player for Oregon Ducks in 2024
The Oregon Ducks are set for an exciting season in the Big Ten, and one player to watch is senior tight end Terrance Ferguson. While bigger names might grab the spotlight, Ferguson has been turning heads in practice, catching the eye of head coach Dan Lanning:
"Terrence Ferguson has busted his absolute tail (and) put himself in great position to be a great player for this program," Lanning said.
Offensive coordinator Will Stein also expressed his enthusiasm about involving Ferguson more in the offense this fall. Last season, Ferguson recorded 42 receptions, 414 yards and six touchdowns. He was the best TE in the spring game, recording 38 yards on three catches.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end from Colorado is on track to break the program’s reception record for tight ends, needing just 33 more receptions. Ferguson's ability to create mismatches and his versatility near the goal line make him a crucial part of Oregon's offense.
Choosing to stay another year instead of entering the NFL draft, Ferguson is ready to lead the Ducks and make an impact in the Big Ten. Rivals should keep a close eye on this playmaker and avoid overlooking a key weapon in Oregon's arsenal.
