The top 10 overall rated teams in EA Sports College Football 25 were announced on Friday. In what was a widely anticipated list, the Georgia Bulldogs are the best team in the game with an overall rating of 95.

The Bulldogs are followed by the Ohio State Buckeyes in second and the Oregon Ducks in third position. Then, many teams are very closely ranked together.

These rankings were bound to generate conversation, but how did fans react to them on social media?

This fan thinks the list needs a massive overhaul.

"these ratings need to be re-done. there’s not nearly enough distance between the georgia’s, and the nc states of the world. not to mention colorado on the same level as Oklahoma and the like," the fan said.

These fans have linked the rankings to the overall quality of the game, which they think will be damaged by them.

"Hope the quality of your game is better than these lists. Due to the absolute ridiculousness of the list, we won’t be buying the game. We have a wait and see approach," said this fan.
"That's it. I speak for everyone when I say, we are no longer buying this video game," wrote another fan.

While this fan could not believe that the rankings were real.

"This has to be a joke. #WorstCompanyInAmerica," said one fan.

These fans were surprised that the Missouri Tigers were not featured in the top 10:

"Mizzou finished top 10 & is starting the season top 10. Yall are wildin," wrote one fan.
"Mizzou outside of the top 25 is absolutely criminal," wrote another fan.
"Find me any legitimate preseason ranking that doesn’t have Mizzou top 10 or right on the cusp. This is legitimately embarrassing for you," wrote a third fan.
"No mizzou in the top 25 😂 this is terrible man. Y’all really sucking up to Colorado too!" said another fan.

Finally, these fans are shocked to see that the Michigan Wolverines, who are the defending national champions, were not featured in the top 10.

"Where is Michigan," wrote this fan.
"We just won a Natty and you don’t even put us top 10?" said another fan.
"Michigan is better than Utah and penn state," said this fan.
"Michigan wins the natty and isn’t top 10?!" wrote another fan.

Why wasn't Michigan in the Top 10 rankings?

The Michigan Wolverines did not make the top 10 in EA Sports College Football 25. This move did anger some fans, who think that the reigning national champions should be a top 10 team.

However, all is not lost for the Wolverines. They have been ranked as the 11th-best team with an overall rating of 88. But, how has this happened?

The simple answer is that many players of the Wolverines team that was so dominant last season are no longer with the program. Many of them were drafted into the NFL, including star quarterback JJ McCarthy, running back Blake Corum and many key elements of the Wolverines' defense.

The Wolverines have replaced these players, and while they are good, they are likely to struggle to be as good as the previous year's side.

This, paired with the departure of Jim Harbaugh, has meant that the Michigan Wolverines are no longer the team to beat. They could potentially struggle this season if things do not go to plan.
