Rhett Armstrong announced through his social media channel on Wednesday that he's received a scholarship offer from Colorado. The class of 2025 prospect has already committed to Baylor, but the latest offer from the Buffaloes adds to his long list of potential flip options.

Armstrong is a highly-rated kicker in the 2025 recruiting cycle out of Palmer Ridge High School in Monument, Colorado. His latest scholarship offer provides him the opportunity to have his college football career in-state, a cherished opportunity among modern-day prospects.

The announcement of the new scholarship offer by Rhett Armstrong has brought a lot of excitement to Colorado fans, who are drooling over the possibility of seeing the kicker flip his commitment from Baylor to the Buffaloes on or before the Early Signing Day in December.

Here’s a look at some of the reactions online:

"Kicks travel way farther in Colorado than they do in Texas…," a fan wrote.
"LFG come on to the promise land," another said.
"Come on home brotha," a fan wrote.

Rhett Armstrong‘s commitment to Baylor

Rhett Armstrong initially committed to play college football for Air Force. He was one of the top prospects for the Falcons in the class of 2025. However, the kicker flipped his commitment to Baylor in July for an opportunity to play college football in the Power Four.

“I re-evaluated that decision and switched over to Baylor and feel like this will be a cool opportunity,” Armstrong said. “It was a tough decision and it wasn’t anything against the coaches. Coach (Brett) Skene was one of my favorite coaches I talked to during the recruiting process. … I let them know this wasn’t their fault.”

Armstrong flipping his commitment to Baylor gives Colorado fans high hopes of seeing the kicker do it again. Closeness to his family played a role in his commitment to the Bears ahead of another potential option, Tennessee.

“I have a lot of family ties to Texas and my brother’s out there,” Armstrong said. “Faith values run very strong at Baylor and that meant a lot to me while I was choosing a school. Baylor just felt like my fit more so than Tennessee. It felt more like home.”

Without a doubt, an offer from the Buffaloes is definitely a huge one for Rhett Armstrong. This is one he will definitely consider before the Early Signing Day, and Colorado is hopeful of a positive response. The kicker might also be lured by the opportunity of playing under Deion Sanders.
