Earlier this week, Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig announced his decision to declare for the 2025 NFL draft. The Colorado safety had a conversation with Darius Sanders on Thursday, where he reflected on his collegiate career, including working under Coach Prime.
In a YouTube video posted on Sanders' "Reach The People Media" channel, Silmon-Craig opened up about how quickly his two years in Colorado had passed.
"It ain't hit me yet that I ain't never gonna put on a Colorado uniform again," Silmon-Craig said. "That sounds crazy to me. But I've been good man, just preparing for the next step."
Silmon-Craig said he could have done better at CU while recalling his pick-six against UCF.
"I don't ever feel like I peaked. I feel like there was an exclamation point in my career. I felt like the only thing I had all year was a pick. So, when I got that pick, I was like, that's what I needed. That kind of had me satisfied at the end of the game." he added.
When Silmon-Craig announced his decision to enter the draft via an Instagram post on Sunday, he had Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports logo at the top of his announcement. The safety signed a representation deal with the company which also represents Heisman Trophy winner and Silmon-Craig's CU teammate, Travis Hunter.
Along with Silmon-Craig, his Colorado teammates Shilo and Shedeur Sanders will also declare for this year's draft.
