The Alabama Crimson Tide fell to an unexpected loss against Oklahoma in Week 13. After Nick Saban's retirement in January, Kalen DeBoer took over the program as the new head coach. His hopes of contesting for the national championship took a major hit after this disappointing performance.

The Crimson Tide were nowhere near the standard that fans expect of them on the field. Both the offense and defense struggled as the Sooners established dominance and kept offensive pressure, securing a dominating 24-3 victory.

After the loss, fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide took to social media to show their disappointment and frustration about this Week 13 result. This is also the first time since 2010 that the program has recorded a three-loss campaign.

One fan stated that ex-head coach Nick Saban will be holding Kalen DeBoer responsible for this outcome.

"Nick Saban entering DeBoer's home as the grim reaper."

Another fan was left dumbfounded that the Crimson Tide lost to the Sooners.

"Lost to an SEC team that was 1 and 5 in the conference..1 and 5... but hey, Alabama beat Mercer last week."

This fan stated that Alabama should be out of the new 12-team playoffs picture.

"Should fall completely out of the playoff conversation. TAMU and Ol Miss too."

Another fan commented that this result is highly disappointing for the program.

"Third loss of the season and this time it was by 21 points... it was a disaster!"

This fan felt that the Crimson Tide's best years have finally ended.

"Thus ends Alabama's era of dominance."

One fan was left amazed by the fact that DeBoer's team could not score any touchdowns against Oklahoma.

"No touchdowns is crazyyyyyy"

Can Alabama qualify for the playoffs?

Kalen DeBoer's chances of securing the SEC title in his debut campaign with the Crimson Tide ended after this loss. Their only chance of qualifying for the 12-team playoffs is as an at-large team which will be decided by the selection committee.

But before that, the Crimson Tide needs to win against the Auburn Tigers at the Iron Bowl next week. As per reports, they now only have a 9.38% chance of competing for the national championship.

Kalen DeBoer has had a roller coaster journey in his debut season with the Crimson Tide. He will now have to focus on carrying forward the legacy that Nick Saban built with the program next season.
