Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes (5-2, 3-1, Big 12) have performed admirably in the 2024 season. In Week 9, the Buffs are hosting the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-2, 3-1) at the Folsom Field.
College football analysts have changed their tone from dismissing Colorado to accepting them as a serious team, and one of them is Nick Saban. The former Alabama coach praised Sanders' team on ESPN's College GameDay today.
"I think the team to watch out for is Colorado," said Saban while discussing the Big 12 conference. "One of the things that Deion told me this summer was he finally had 2 coordinators that believe like he believe."
Another ESPN analyst who has been mostly critical of the Buffs is Paul Finebaum, but Coach Prime has even forced one of his fiercest nemesis to praise the Buffaloes.
"I give him major credit for dealing with injuries," Finebaum said. "The Travis Hunter situation, his two sons both have been banged up ... And really go out and convincingly win games. That’s hard to do. This is a bowl team now." [24:00]
With Travis Hunter back to full fitness and Shedeur Sanders continuing to shine, it's the Buffs' game to lose against the Bearcats.

Miss Terry outperformed Nick Saban, who didn't pick Coach Prime's Colorado
During ESPN’s College GameDay in Week 5, Saban – who’s working as an analyst for the show after retiring earlier this year, was accompanied by his wife, Miss Terry. However, the couple thought differently while picking teams.
While they both didn’t bat an eye when it came to picking Alabama for its clash with the Georgia Bulldogs, the former Alabama head coach differed from her wife when it came to picking between Deion Sanders’ Colorado and the UCF Knights.
"Against our good friend Deion?” Miss Terry questioned Saban. “Really? He texted you this week and said what a great job you were doing. I’ve got your back, Deion."
Terry Saban, however, stood by Deion Sanders’ team, which the Buffs proved right by winning the game 48-21. Their differing opinions cost Nick, who picked six of nine games correctly, while Miss Terry hit seven.
