Saban's legacy with the Tide will be unrivaled for the foreseeable future, having won six national championships. The 72-year-old icon has always had family support, including his wife, Miss Terry, daughter Kristen Saban, and daughter-in-law, Samira Saban.
Saban's daughter, Kristen Saban, posted a video release by Alabama Football thanking Nick Saban for his years of loyal service. She captioned her story,
"The greatest to ever fucking do it"
Kristen Saban had been present at Alabama's home game throughout the 2023 season, channeling her support through social media whenever she was unable to attend.
Kristen Saban couldn't use her phone after Nick Saban's retirement
Recently, Kristen Saban took to Instagram to share her overwhelming reaction to her father's retirement. In a message, she expressed the emotional rollercoaster she's currently navigating.
Kristen's phone couldn't handle the influx of messages, freezing five times and shutting off. She stated,
“My phone froze five times and shut itself off. My inbox is full (of lovely, supportive messages, thank you.) I’ll say something eventually. So many emotions at the moment.”
“Football is my life. Watching my dad accomplish so many things one after the other for so many years is incredible and I’m so thankful to witness the history I’ve seen him make”
As the Crimson Tide bid farewell to a season that fell just short of the national title, losing 20-27 to the Michigan Wolverines, the message by Kristen Saban reminds us that the dynasty's kingmaker has stepped away for good.
