Nick Saban's daughter Kristen Saban watched in disbelief as the Tennessee Volunteers mounted a second-half comeback to beat coach Kalen DeBoer's team 24-17. The Alabama Crimson Tide dropped to 5-2 in Week 8 after the demoralizing Week 6 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores.
On Monday, the former Crimson Tide coach's daughter took a dig at Bama fans who doubted the coach and his players after the loss. She reposted a clip on her Instagram stories that was captioned:
"Me looking at all of the Bama bandwagon fans crash out after 2 losses."
Saban added her caption as well:
"Wouldn't be the first time either."
How Kristen Saban used to defend Nick Saban
Kristen Saban was passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide even when her father Nick Saban, now retired as a coach, was the head of the program. In 2022, some Bama fans were displeased to see the Crimson Tide lose two games in a season for the second year. Kristen reminded them to back the team during the difficult moments.
She reposted a clip on her Instagram stories of her father speaking about the fans backing the team during the bad times and captioned the clip:
"Getting tired of reminding y’all."
In the video, Nick Saban asked fans to support the Crimson Tide in their lows and criticized them for criticizing the players.
"Proud and happy to support them and appreciate what they do and have some gratitude," Nick Saban said. "You know what else? Nobody wants to win worse than they do, not me, not you; I don't care what kind of fan you are. Nobody wants to win more than the players that play.
Kristen Saban shows her unwavering support to the Alabama Crimson Tide even after her father retired as the coach. Even during Kalen DeBoer's difficult tenure, she showed she's a diehard Bama fan.
