Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter has had an incredibly successful college football career. His on-field success has also led to him becoming an NIL millionaire. So, when he appeared on "The Pivot Podcast" on Tuesday, his newfound wealth became a topic of conversation.

During the discussion, Hunter was asked how he shoulders the responsibility of taking care of others now that he has financial stability. He said:

"I mean, I try not to focus on other people. Focus on myself first. You know, if my little brother asked me something, I go get it for him. You know, that's pretty much my main focus right now, to help my siblings. So I just continue to go as far as I can so they can see and follow my footsteps where they don't have to ask me for anything. And that's pretty much it.
"Like my family. As far as my family, they still old enough to work. So what I tell them those hours I had to put in, those countless days where, like coach said, 'I don't get tired, it's because I adapted to like I don't have to go to sleep.' ... And they brought me this far, so I tell them like, you still got to work. Just like I got to work. Somebody got to work." (6:22)

Travis Hunter will likely get another big payday in the NFL

While Travis Hunter has become a millionaire in college, he may have an even bigger payday when he reaches the NFL. Hunter is in the running to be the number one pick in the 2025 NFL draft and is almost guaranteed to be a top-five pick, according to several mock projections.

Based on the contracts signed by the top five picks in the previous draft, Hunter should be able to sign a deal worth over $30 million. The top pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, signed a four-year contract valued at over $39 million which included $25 million in signing bonuses.

The No. 5 pick, LA Chargers offensive tackle Joe Alt, signed a $33.2 million four-year contract, with nearly $20.9 million in signing bonuses.
