The UCF Knights will host the Colorado Buffs on Saturday, Sept. 28 in Orlando, Florida. The Buffs are 3-1 on the season after last week's win against Baylor. Meanwhile, UCF has gotten off to a 3-0 start in the BIG 12 Conference.
Central Florida has a big recruiting weekend ahead as well. Aside from Deion Sanders and Colorado, UCF is also set to host over 100 recruits for its game against the Buffs, Steve Wiltfong of On3 reports.
UCF head coach Gus Malzahn has done a great job at the helm for the Knights since taking over in 2021 and is building a strong recruiting class.
On3 currently ranks UCF's 2025 recruiting class as No. 1 in the Big 12 and 27th nationally. They have 19 total commits, including five four-stars.
Top recruits to watch out for in UCF vs Colorado Week 5 clash
Among the key recruits expected to be in attendance this weekend is Javion Hilson from Cocoa (Fla.) High. He is On3 Industry’s No. 3 edge rusher and No. 39 prospect overall in 2025.
Hilson holds offers from prominent college football programs like Texas, and Alabama. Although he is currently uncommitted, On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine has him at 91.7% to the Texas Longhorns. He decommitted from FSU earlier in September.
Nathaniel Owusu Boateng, the No. 6-ranked linebacker in the 2025 class, recently narrowed down his top schools to programs like Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, Florida, Ohio State, and Texas. He's predicted to commit to Notre Dame where his brother, Cleveland Browns star Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah, played. Central Florida might have a chance to sway Nathaniel closer to them in the recruiting process.
The Knights are also hoping to flip several 2025 recruits who have already committed to different schools. These include four-star RB and Florida Commit Waltez Clark, edge rusher and LSU commit Jesse Harold, and wide receivers Dallas Wilson (Oregon) and Joshua Moore (Florida).
They are also set to host some 2026 recruits over the weekend. Headlining that list is offensive lineman Lamar Brown, who is On3 Industry's No. 1-ranked interior lineman and No. 6 overall prospect in his class. Joining Brown are IMG Academy offensive linemen Breck Kolojay and G'Nivre Carr, as well as Chancellor Barclay.
2026 wide receiver Jayden Petit from First Baptist Academy is set to be in attendance for the game. The 6'4 196-pound receiver currently has offers from schools like Miami, Florida, Penn State, and Auburn.
